Husberg a feast prepared: a requiem
A twelve-movement extended work for SATB choir, soloists, keyboard, and instruments. The text by Richard Leach is a Lutheran re-envisioning of the Requiem Mass that is a celebration of God in Christ’s victory over death. Including settings of the Kyrie, Sanctus, and Agnus Dei, the work as a whole is confessional rather than intercessory or triumphalist. Set to music by much-loved hymn composer Amanda Husberg, the eclectic styling reflects the more joyous nature of the text.
